Please check the calendar above for assignments due this week. Journals topics for entries 13-14 are posted online for your review and posted in class for students without access to the internet. Students must use the topics that I have assigned.
CRCT Practice Question 1 is due this week. As each class turns in their question, I will pass out a new question that they must answer over the next week. The due dates are as follows:
Mondays - 3rd period
Tuesdays - 4th period
Wednesdays - 5th period
Thursdays - 6th period
Please remember to schedule a parent conference for the week of October 10-13 with your child's specific homeroom teacher.
HW this week is the CRCT practice, journal entries, and to study notes.
Oil Counts.
3rd period still needs - 3 bottles
4th period still needs - 4.5 bottles
5th period still needs - 3 bottles
6th period still needs - 6 bottles
I changed the lab date from tomorrow to next week to give the students additional time to donate the remaining supplies. Classes that do not have enough oil for the lab will have an alternate assignment and the bottles of oil will be returned. The lab will not be rescheduled. Thanks for all the donations thus far!
Final note: It is apparent that many students are not reviewing or utlizing the resources available to help them be successful in science class. Agendas are the first step in keeping more organized and I remind students to update their agendas everyday. Students who are not updating their agendas are responsible for copying the agenda in their notes every single time so that parents can see what we are doing in class. Please help us by checking your child's agenda every evening so that missed/late work doesn't become an issue in performance.
