Week 5: The Atom (NEW UNIT)

We will start our 2nd unit of the school year this week. While Unit one covered matter at the macro level, Unit 2 takes a look at matter at a deeper level.

Just a heads up....
1. Notebook pages including the Table of Contents should be complete up to page 49. I will be calling for notebooks shortly for grading.

2. Several students didn't finish the sub work from 8/20-21. Portions of this work will be graded this week. Students were given last week to finish anything incomplete.

3. While there is no official homework, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that parents ask specific questions about learning to determine if additional study time at home is necessary. Possible questions include the following:

• What did you learn today?
• Can you provide an example not given in class today?
• I don't understand that concept, can you demonstrate it for me?

Doing these things at home will help your child polish that science knowledge and skills.
