Week 23: Inertia, Gravity, and Friction (Pt. 1)

During this unit, our learning goals for force, motion, and simple machines will include the following:
  • Determining the relationship between velocity and acceleration (P3a);
  • Demonstrating the effect of balanced and unbalanced forces on an object in terms of gravity, inertia, and friction (P3b);
  • Demonstrating the effect of simple machines on work (P3c); and
  • Recognizing that every object exerts gravitational force on every other object and that the force exerted depends on how much mass the objects have and how far apart they are (P5a).

AGENDA (all classes)
This week we have several activities to choose from:
Inertia Lab
Discovery Learning Forces Video and Short Response
Acceleration Notes (F=mxa)
Friction Worksheet
Friction Brochure (Regular)
Force and Motion Menu (Advanced)
