Week 4 in Physical Science

Wow! We are already 4 weeks into the school year, and before you know it the first marking period will be over. Over the last four weeks we've learned about the characteristics of scientists. We covered a variety of topics from the scientific method, math skills, and writing in science. Students are working hard on writing, but I found it quite interesting to see their faces when they realized that writing and math were heavily involved in terms to scientific work. We've had our ups and downs during this adjustment period, but are making progress.

Our next destination is the Nature of Matter. There are seven elements associated with this standard and students will need to manage their time to get through this content. Chemistry can be fun and overwhelming at the same time. I have a few great activities (I might be somewhat biased here!) that are sure to make chemistry enjoyable. Be on the look out for donation lists to be sent out as we will need help in making some of our labs come to life.
