If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough. ~Albert Einstein

Journals 29-30

The journal topics for this week are the following.  Choose any two of the three.

Option 1: WAVES IN MY ROOM - Identify examples of electromagnetic energy "running" around in your bedroom.  How many can you find?  Create a list, then sort them by TYPE of electromagnetic wave.  Draw pictures of the examples in addition to writing an entry at an appropriate length.

Option 2: LET'S QUIZ! - Create a 10 question quiz and administer with to another teammate.  After they have completed your assessment, grade it.  How well did he or she do? What concepts did they still get wrong?  Describe to me how would you explain the correct answers so that they will understand.  Your questions should consist of a variety of questions along the Bloom's taxonomy.  Use the Bloom's question starters in your student manual to create your questions. Students can only take one assessment; so, first come, first quizzed!

Option 3: PREVIEWING - Look at and copy S8P3b.  Highlight the vocabulary for that unit. (Every word is not a vocabulary word!)  For each word, tell me everything you think you know about the word.  In other words, (1) How have you heard the word used? (2) How have you used the word? If you had to create your own definitions for the words, how would you define each one?
